Jenni is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who uses her medical and educational backgrounds in her "whole child" approach to speech therapy in order to collaborate with the child's family, teachers, doctors, and other specialists.
Jenni has worked with pediatric speech therapy groups since she was in high school and dedicated her career to helping children improve eating and communication. She earned her BA in Elementary, Early Childhood and Special Education from Furman University in 2000 and her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2003 after completing internships at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, University of Pennsylvania Hospital and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Jenni then completed her Clinical Fellowship in the Neonatal, Pediatric, and Cardiac Intensive Care Units of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
In July 2004, Jenni created Allison Therapeutics to offer customized speech, language, and feeding therapy to children throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry and specializes in:
Jenni also serves as the Reference Point Coordinator at Daniel Island Academy. Through this program, she provides individualized developmental screenings and collaborates with teachers, families, and therapists to coordinate activities to enhance global development for all students in each class.
She and her husband, K.B., live in Mount Pleasant and have two daughters, Alli and Fields. They enjoy all things sports and music in their free time!
